Aisha Jamila is an American actress best recognized for her appearances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Her range of talents has been proven on TV in shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she made her debut as an actor in the year 2003. First noticed in 2005 for the role of Anna which was featured as part of Assault on Precinct 13 But it was her performance as the women's rights activists Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally made her an actor. Hind's portrayal as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground was also highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the series will continue for an additional season. Hind finished the filming of the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters due to release by mid-2019.
