Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix demonstrated a talent in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school in 2003, and became a part of Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the 200m. She won the title in 2007. won the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed within the top three throughout her competitions in the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
