Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the first day she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks, after her first attempt. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation by signing a contract as a professional athlete with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record doing 200 m in 22.18 second. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200-meter race. She defended the title for the second time in 2007 defeating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She was consistently among the top three in all events.
